Who we are
Crown Metrology was founded by Carlo Moreno, a quality professional with years of experience in aerospace inspection, CMM programming, and ISO/AS system implementation.
After years inside OEM-tier manufacturing environments, Carlo saw the need for a modern, agile metrology lab that delivers aerospace-grade documentation with the responsiveness and care of a smaller partner.
That vision became the Crown Standard; a disciplined balance between technical accuracy and service excellence.
VALUES & PRINCIPLES
Impartiality: Decisions driven only by data, never by convenience.
Traceability: Every measurement traceable to the International System of Units (SI) through NIST or equivalent standards.
Discipline: Processes defined, documented, and verified through our Quality Management System (QMS-001).
Confidentiality: Full compliance with ITAR/EAR for controlled technical data.
Safety: OSHA-aligned environmental and handling procedures ensuring safe, consistent performance.
These principles guide every calibration, inspection, and consultation we perform.
Our Facility
Located within Raycon Industries in Brea, CA, our controlled lab features:
Granite reference surfaces and precision environmental monitoring.
A Hexagon Global CMM with PC-DMIS software for advanced part inspection.
Complete suite of Mitutoyo calibration equipment traceable to NIST.
Secure ITAR/EAR data handling and controlled documentation storage.
Every aspect of the facility is designed to meet or exceed ISO/IEC 17025 environmental and traceability requirements.
Looking ahead
As Crown Metrology grows, our focus remains clear:
Achieve formal ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
Expand dimensional capabilities and proficiency testing participation.
Continue building long-term partnerships with aerospace manufacturers who demand measurable precision.
“We don’t just measure dimensions, we measure trust.”
